Nails of April (+ matte nails tutorial)

Metal Fluid in green by Miss Sporty
I found a new obsession! And by that I mean these wonderful metallic nail-polishes from Miss Sporty.    When I first saw these, I thought that I had to get my hands on them immediately! I chose the green/purple one, while there was also a more bluish one, however you can't really tell the color because it changes given on how light shines upon it. ww I really like this nailpolish!! It lasts very long, too! The effect is incredible, I love it ~ ~

Steamy trick to matte nails!!

See the nails above? I haven't bought a new nail polish, nope! I used the metallic one by Miss Sporty and gave them a very quick matte finish by using steam. image All you have to do is apply two coats of any of your favourite nail polish color, and get some water boiling in an ordinary pot meanwhile. Then, when you apply the third (finishing coat), do it as fast as possible - and hold your nails above the steam! Be careful not to get your hand burned, and do this for 10 seconds or even less - you can check the effect steam has on your nails. It's wonderful ! !

Zipper Nail Stickers (pt. 1!!)

So, in the (April or May was it??) ...spring issue of Zipper magazine, there happened to be a patch of nail stickers enclosed - and I almost felt bad for using them because they are so pretty! ;o; It's the same as with any type of stickers for me, I just don't want to stick them anywhere ww But hey, that's just me. So, I only tried out the most 'boring ones' at first, just to see if I can do it properly, because I was a chicken about screwing it up. ww But they came out to be pretty cute! The trick is to fix them with a transparent layer afterwards. More sticker madness next month, I promise! image
And below you can see one of my favourite nail polishes ever - it was a gift from a very special person! This is a 140 French Rose Rimmel London nail polish, a very quality one - probably the best one I own. It truly holds up to its promise of 10 day strength! I don't use it very often, however, but lately I've been getting into nude nail polish style as well, so expect more of these too! I just seem to very between very striking and humble colors, there is no in-between haha~

Thank you very much for reading!

K-Palette One Day Tattoo Real Lasting Liquid Eyeliner (Review)

Hello dear readers! Long time no see - I hope that everyone is doing alright and that you're ready to enjoy spring since the weather's been so super nice lately!! (At least here, hehehe ~)

In the past I've made a few liquid eyeliner reviews: One for Kiss Me's Heroine liquid eyeliner, and two more (1 | 2) for Dolly Wink's product(s). Since I've ran out of my Dolly Wink liquid liner recently, I've decided that it might be a good idea to try out something new - but I wanted something that wouldn't disappoint me! That said, I decided to try out K-Palette's One Day Tattoo liquid eyeliner. image

I've known about K-Palette by watching make up videos of my idols on YouTube, and I always managed to spot this brand (being featured in a good light), so I decided to give it a go while ordering from Sasa.com! (Just like most of my stuff, anyway~)

This is how the packaging looks! Not quite as cute and chic as Dolly Wink's, I must admit, but it gives off a somewhat professional look. Or is that just me? Either way, this product ranges on a similar price as Dolly Wink, if not a little bit more expensive. The instructions on the back are in Japanese, but recently Sasa started to slap stickers with English information on them, which is a great plus for those who don't speak Japanese! It's a smart packaging tho - very easy to open. You'll see about the actual product size later on.
What prompted me about this product was the 'One Day Tattoo" label which I grew very curious about. Can it really last for a day ...? But firstly, let me paste what Sasa has to say about this eyeliner in general:
"K-PALETTE Real Lasting Eyeliner 24h Waterproof helps draw incredibly delicate eyelines and effectively ensures long hold, as if the lines were tattooed on the eyes. It is strongly waterproof, sweat-proof and sebum-proof. However, it can be easily and thoroughly removed with warm water."
This sounds incredible, doesn't it? Especially for those whose eyeliner gets smudged really easily (but Dolly Wink and Kiss Me can solve this as well!) but for me who doesn't get this problem, it's more about the long hold which interested me. Let's take a look at the actual product now ~ ~
It's a lot tinier when compared to Dolly Wink! I was quite surprised, actually. That's not the only difference though: I'm not sure if it's entirely visible on the photos, but the thing that's most different from Dolly Wink is actually K-Palette's liner's tip! The tip is much, MUCH softer - I thought that it wouldn't be possible to create a tip which is softer than Dolly Wink's, but voila - here it is!
The tip is incredibly soft and flexible, and allows for even more delicate strokes than Dolly Wink does. At first I thought it would make the application a little bit more difficult, but surprisingly that's not true! Somehow, it glides a lot more smoothly and generally makes applying eyeliner for me faster. Interesting!
The only thing which would be the main K-Palette's liner con would be its color. I'm sure you've noticed that Dolly Wink appears to be much darker in the picture, and this is also the case in real life. Somehow, this liquid liner just lacks the 'extreme deep blackness' which Dolly Wink possess, but you can easily make up for it by running over the same line twice.
As you can see on the picture - the tip looks more like a brush, really! It's really amazing, and I enjoy working with this eyeliner a lot. Even though it's a little bit smaller and a lot less cuter (ww), I think I might like it's effect even better than Dolly Wink's!!
But, the main issue I wanted to talk about was how long this eyeliner lasts. It's truly incredible!! For me, the effect had been 8 hours (because my skin is just smudge-prone for some reason ww), but I am sure that even for people with oily skin it would work 100%, because even if the pigment isn't that deep black, it remains on skin and holds on pretty well. When I researched this product, I came across a few complaints that it's hard to get off afterwards, but it shouldn't be a problem when you remove it properly and with proper cleansing products! It takes a bit more time and effort, yes, but it isn't anything that bad.
Right now I'm using this eyeliner on daily basis, and I enjoy working it with it. I'm giving it a full positive rating because of how amazing the brush tip is(!!!), and what amazing and delicate lines you can draw with it. (Perfect for cosplay if you ask me~ And for cat-eye make up, etc.) Also, the fact that it's basically smudge proof is amazing. I have accidentally rubbed my eyes twice today, and it's still on! (But don't do it if it isn't necessary ...ww)
The only thing which isn't tip top is the color - it's not deep enough, definitely not as dark as Dolly Wink's, for instance. But this can also be fixed by drawing over the same line twice like I mentioned earlier. I will always keep Dolly Wink in my make up collection, and for now, I think I'm coming to like K-Palette just as much. I hope you have found this review helpful!

Hada Labo Moisturizing Make Up Remover (Review) & How To Remove Make Up

Hello everyone ! I'm sorry for not updating much lately -  I hope everyone is doing okay ~ ! I've been meaning to do this entry for a looong time, but I wanted to take my time to test out this particular product first (I was very excited upon receiving it! After all, Hada Labo is one of my favourite Japanese cosmetic brands), so now that I've had my experience with it, here's to the review!!

First things first, I'm sure that you've heard about the Japanese skin care (and even make up) brand called Hada Labo - it's a very famous brand! And not only in Japan, but thorough the world as well. Their products are well known for being based on only necessary ingredients as to not burden skin. Also, they are no.1 in moisturizing care!! Which is perfect for a dry skin type like mine . . . Either way, there's muuuuch more I could say about this brand, so I'll just direct you to this entry where you can find everything about Hada Labo and why I like it so much!

The product I'll be reviewing in this entry is the Super Hyaluron Acid Moisturizing Make Up Remover. As you can tell by the title, this product contains the amazing moisturizing Hyaluron Acid - and it does wonders, really ~!

The information on this product (which is all in Japanese, sadly for non-Japanese speakers) suggests that this product is used for light make up. "Gently & effectively removes all traces of make-up, dirt and impurities while preserving skin’ s natural moisture" - is what Hada Labo says! This make up remover is water-based, and what I especially like about it is that it doesn't leave the skin with a tight or a greasy feeling. It moisturizes thoroughly (while getting rid of make up and other dirt), and of course it's free of fragrances, oil, alcohol or colorant of any sort. Very low irritation & super pure! Perfect for acne-prone or easily irritated, sensitive skin.

It's used on dry face (applied with dry hands, too), and by massaging it gently into your face (preferably in circular motions) it slowly and very gently dissolves aall the make up you are wearing. Afterwards, it's to be rinsed off thoroughly with water. Very simple. The consistency is quite oily - it is a oily make up remover after all. You'll see on my photos soon!

The packaging is very simple like most of Hada Labo's products - and I am okay with that! It's actually quite big, which makes me happy because you don't really need too much of the product - so it lasts for longer. Again, the price for Hada Labo products isn't exactly cheap but this make up remover does such a marvelous job that I'm definitely re-purchasing it! Just FIY, I bought mine at Sasa.com during pre-Christmas sales w w It was much, much bigger than anticipated.
What I especially like about this remover is that all you really need are your hands. For me, removing make up is a very essential thing - especially after a long day of cosplaying (wearing lots of heavy make up) - it's necessary for me to cleanse my skin and allow it to breathe, so that my pores don't get clogged and that I won't break out afterwards.
Hygiene is VERY important. Besides the daily skin care routine, I try to pay special attention to removing my make up. Hada Labo doesn't require using cotton pads - which I'm very fond of because these may help spread dirt and bacteria, so I try to avoid them as much as possible. This make up remover has oily consistence which easily dissolves all kinds of make up! What's more, it really hydrates the skin even during the cleaning process - it's just sooo awesome~ My skin feels GREAT after using this!
After I thoroughly wash my hands, I apply a sufficient (usually a small) amount of this product onto my palm and massage it into my face - I tend to take my time with this, around 3 - 5 minutes. I even close my eyes and go over them if I'm only wearing light make up (it doesn't irritate eyes at all!!!!) but if I'm wearing heavy cosplay make up, I take a different routine (will be explained later).

Here's my usual normal wear eye make up! You can clearly see how it dissolved easily after I simply rubbed the product in. Below you can see a picture where I added water and simply swept off the remaining make up. Normally, I'd just wait until it dissolves on my face and then rinse with lukewarm water and dry with a face sponge (or a towel!).

I especially like the pump design. As you can see on the picture above  and on the right side, it comes with a small cap that fits beneath the pump, so that it can't get pressed when you're carrying it around with you somewhere - or so that you don't accidentally leak the product when you weren't meaning to press it. Very smart !! This is currently my favourite make up remover, and I don't think I'll be changing it any time soon. Absolute best for me: Moisturizes and gets rid of all make up efficiently. Plus, it's very hygienic, and I don't have to 'scrub' my skin to get rid of make up ! !

How I remove my make up?

Pastel Hair Journey (Personal Post)

Hello everyone! I haven't been posting for a while as you might have (or might have not w w) noticed, mainly because I was spending the week with a friend who came to visit me from Poland. We had some rad times together!! Thanks to Kiwi (who did the kitsunedon banner, by the way!!) I was able to finally fulfill one of my dreams of having pretty pastel hair image I'm so incredibly happy as I am writing this entry, simply because it turned out to be wonderful! Considering how badly can bleaching go, especially for a person like me with weak hair and a history of dyeing them black/brown. But we did it! We totally rocked it~!
So, the first thing I did was that I researched a whole lot on how to treat bleached hair - hence using a lot of hair masks before the actual thing. I highly recommend doing a hair mask with coconut milk!! It did wonders for my hair, and I still do it even now to keep them in shape. Next step was having my friend bring me the necessary stuff for bleaching and dyeing - all for a very reasonable price, from Poland!! - and then planning the bleaching process. I took a two days break between the bleaching, and applied the dye the day I bleached my hair for the second time. I used hair masks each time - for the first time I left it on over-night, for the second time only for about two hours. It did a huge difference in regards of not having my hair damaged!
And this is how the final result looked like! Before that my hair looked a bit like a ice-cream cone (yellowish and orange-y,) and my twitter followers might have caught on that because I posted a picture, haha~ I'm very happy that it turned out alright for me, and that everyone seems to like it!! I couldn't be any happier. All the credit goes to Kiwi! She did such a wonderful job~ I'm so, soo thankful to her for doing it for me! Also, we were watching Tamako Market and drinking Polish drinks meanwhile - I completely fell for that anime!
 image
I especially enjoyed the drinks Kiwi made for us. Basically a mix of milk, cocoa and this wonderful hazelnut Vodka she brought! It tasted like heaven, I swear. I'm not that much of a fan of drinking, but this stuff tasted so great and sweet - and barely of any alcohol at all! I think I might have been drinking bad stuff all this time... Still a lot to learn!
I'd sum up my entry with this - successfully having my hair dyed pink is a big turning point for me, as I've always been submerged in cosplaying up until now, so doing something for myself and my hair feels pretty damn great. Thank you very much for reading!! image

Nails of March

One of my favourite colors would be shocking pink!! The nail polish above was a birthday gift from one of my friends, I really love it~ Aside from my favourite pastel colors (especially mint and pastel pink image) I've recently fallen for intense colors just as March started - the beginning of spring!! I'm excited for warm weather and for the colors to start blooming again! No more gloomy weather and snow... I was getting tired of it''' For this look I painted three layers of nail polish plus added a strengthening transparent layer, and a nail conditioner I got in a nail salon in the States. Works great!
A bright orange look from Miss Sporty!! You can see that my nails are a little bit messier in the photo above, I'm sorry about that ...orz I'm still a little bit clumsy with painting my nails (especially the right hand!) but I'm trying. image I chose this look during one especially sunny spring day to lift up my mood. I'm really into colorful nail polishes right now, and I try to take good care of my nails too.
TIP: After removing nail polish from your nails, take some olive oil and pop it into microwave for about 20 seconds. Soak your fingers, (about 15 mins) and rub the excessive oil over your hands. It will feel wonderful!! Rinse with water and apply hand lotion and continue treating your nails~~ (filing and buffing, etc.)

Neon Pink from GATE Shop
Did I mention how much I love neon colours lately? I surely must have!! So when I saw this neon yellow nail polish at GATE's boutique, I had to get my hands on it. It was also cheap (there was an on-going sale), so I was really excited about it! The quality isn't anything exceptional, though. I was a little disappoint to be honest, but then, it was a product from a clothes brand - I didn't really have any high hopes for it. One big con of this product is the SMELL, however. I have never used nail polish which smelled this bad in my whole life ww But, it goes awesomely with my neon yellow handbag! So, I guess I do like it after all ~
Miss Sporty Crack Me Up & AVON Fuchsia Fun
And this is the last look! I've always wanted to try out the kind of nail polish which creates cracks. I haven't thought much about my nails before (because their quality was always super-bad, I only wore plastic fake ones), so now that I began to take proper care of them, I decided to spoil myself a little with this nail polish. Its great advantage is that you can basically use it with any color!! I'm still a little bit clumsy with it, but I think it turned out pretty well and grunge-y.
Please tell me which look you liked the best! I think I'll do a small 'nail-art' entry every month, and perhaps even a 2nd part for March looks because this is not everything that I have tried out. I hope the quality of my nails will get better with the extra attention I'm giving them, even eating enough vitamins and treating them well (like the tip I mentioned above!) So, that's all from me now. I hope you've enjoyed reading!
